Update : 8-22-13

Luna was spotted on Thursday, early morning,  at Miller Mac Road, Apollo Beach. We spent the day there and in surrounding neighborhoods.  The nice pawson had a friend call us right away, early morning and then checked back in.

Update: 8-23-2013

We set up a plan and waited for her at 6:15 am this morning with warm hotdogs , bacon and chicken! At 9am a couple of us started biking around and in the neighborhoods.  At 10:45 Luna was spotted again at Miller Mac Road, Apollo Beach. I saw her myself. She is dirty, looks good but is very scared!!  Don't anyone tell her a bath is in order! I scaled the 10 ft chain link fence and searched the area to no avail (the Foster parents and searchers were all allowed in to help. Went to get traps Friday night (thank you Barb)!

Update 8-24-13

We set traps and searched the area for 6-8 hrs. The entire Apollo Beach & Ruskin area is full of flyers (200 color with clear plastic film to protect from weather) and business cards (500) for walkers, vets office etc.

Update: 8-25-13

We canvassed for quite a few hours and got a call that she was spotted again in the same area of Miller Mac road, Apollo Beach, FL. at 8pm. This came with an offer of help!! I was to meet the woman the next night to show her where we set traps, etc

Update: 9--19-13   6 weeks and she is found!
Luna at the point of being rescued after an adoption gone wrong., upon being released from the trap that animal services set.  We were told  all along that we would have access to her when seen and then found out that was an outright lie. Not only that but we were shocked to find out that the Hillsborough county sewer dept would not let someone with a top security clearance on the property even escorted and that "the guys had seen her many times run out the back of the fence!". Devastated to learn that along with Walter Flocken, the man that let her  waltz out the doggie door, these men would lie and say that no one had seen her!   Little Luna is now with people who will keep her safe!    We had to stop updating this because we felt out efforts were being thwarted =we just didn't know by whom!
Thank you Bob, your wife and Bamboo for caring about a little dog frightened and lost!!   Pawlease use his graphix company for your business advertising - he is awesome and Luna is safe because of his efforts. We were getting so weary of the daily rides to Apollo Beach. he stepped up and helped feed 2x daily so she could be caught!!  He went beyond the call of duty and almost caught her one morning! He's a hero!! (and he can leap 12 foot fences in a single bound)!
On the way to the Vet!
Luna was thoroughly checked and she  lost a pound (I gained 5) and will be carefuly watched for heartworm. She had that bath (or 2), needs lots of work on the burrs and mats.
we will get a final photo for you when we get a "family shot!"
